LESSON 17: WORSHIP

THEME: Why Worship is Important

VERSE: Psalm 150:6: “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord”

VOCABULARY: worship, songs

ACTIVITIES:

1. Listen to the Directions.
   
2. Review the vocabulary words. Listen to the Vocabulary File for pronunciation. Look up the meaning of any words you don’t know.
3. Answer the following questions: 
   • What does it mean to worship?
   • How can we worship the Lord?
   • What are the different ways you worship the Lord? 
4. Listen to some English worship songs and worship together. (You can choose your own or here are some to listen to) 

• • Good Good Father (by Chris Tomlin)
  • O Come to the Altar (by Chris Tomlin)
  • Even If (by Mercy Me)

5. Read through some of the following Psalms from the Bible.

• • Psalm 8: Praising His Magnificence
  • Psalm 65: Praising His Creation
  • Psalm 76: Praising His Power
  • Psalm 100: Psalm of Gratitude
  • Psalm 111: Praising His Works
  • Psalm 146: Psalm of Mercy
  • Psalm 150: Praising God with Music

6. Use the rest of the class to discuss Worship and the different ways in which we can worship.  Break up into small groups and pray for each other. Spend time with Jesus. Ask Him to show speak to you and tell you what He thinks of you.

7. End class in a whole group prayer.
