LESSON 21:  HOLY SPIRIT – LIFE APPLICATION

VOCABULARY: siblings, guides, baptized, curious

STORY: There are a girl and a boy. The girl is 10 years old and the boy is 8 years old. They are siblings. They have a great mom and dad. The family goes to church every Sunday. The kids go to Bible school every weekend as well. The girl, Maria, has been learning about the Holy Spirit. She has learned that when you get baptized in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit teaches us, gives us words to say, and helps us make the right decisions. He also gives us joy, peace, and hope. The Holy Spirit makes us stronger. Maria is very curious about the Holy Spirit. She wants to know more about the Holy Spirit and how the Holy Spirit teaches us. One day Maria went to her parents and asked them to help her and her brother understand how the Holy Spirit helps them. Her parents explained to her that the Holy Spirit lives inside of us and guides us. Maria did not understand how she could have the Holy Spirit living inside of her. Her parents explained to her that all she had to do was ask the Holy Spirit to come and help her. Maria and her brother were so excited to know that they could ask the Holy Spirit to come and that the Holy Spirit would help them.
