STORY #1: Dave is a young man who works in a city. Dave has a very busy week. Dave’s family is coming to visit him. On Tuesday, he is going to the airport to pick up his family. On Wednesday, he is going to take his family around the city and show them different places. On Thursday, Dave is going to take his family to his favorite restaurant. After they eat, he is going to take them to his favorite ice cream place. On Friday, Dave is going to have dinner with his family and some of his friends. On Saturday, Dave’s family is leaving. At 3:00 pm he is going to take his family back to the airport. On Sunday, Dave is going to relax. 

STORY #1 WITH QUESTIONS: Dave is a young man who works in a city. Dave has a very busy week. (What is the man’s name? What kind of week does he have?) Dave’s family is coming to visit him. (Who is coming to visit him?) On Tuesday, he is going to the airport to pick up his family. (Where is he picking up his family?) On Wednesday, he is going to take his family around the city and show them different places. (Where is he going to take his family?) On Thursday, Dave is going to take his family to his favorite restaurant. (Where will they go on Thursday?) After they eat, he is going to take them to his favorite ice cream place. (What food will they eat at his favorite place?) On Friday, Dave is going to have dinner with his family and some of his friends. (When will he have dinner with his family and friends?) On Saturday, Dave’s family is leaving. (Which day is his family leaving?) At 3:00 pm he is going to take his family back to the airport. (What time will he take his family to the airport?) On Sunday, Dave is going to relax. (What will he do on Sunday?) 

 STORY #2: Sarah and Ben have a very busy week. They are parents who have three kids, and their kids have a lot of sports during the week. On Tuesday, Sarah is going to take the oldest to his soccer practice. During this time, Ben is going to take the two younger children to their dance class. After work on Wednesday, Sarah is going to take all three kids to their swimming class. Ben is going to a meeting for work on Wednesday. On Thursday, all three kids have music class. After school Ben is going to pick the kids up and take them to their music class. On Friday, Ben and Sarah are going out to dinner.

After work on Wednesday, Sarah is going to take all three kids to their swimming class. (What do the kids have on Wednesday?) Ben is going to a meeting for work on Wednesday. (Where is Ben going on Wednesday?) On Thursday, all three kids have music class. (What do the kids have on Thursday?) After school Ben is going to pick the kids up and take them to their music class. (Where will the kids go after school?) On Friday, Ben and Sarah are going out to dinner. (What are Ben and Sarah doing on Friday?) 

ACTIVITIES:

  3. Listen to Audio 2 – Story #1 with Questions as you read the story and answer questions. Have students practice reading the stories to each other to work on using English.
  4. Listen to Audio 1 for Story #2 as you read the story.
  5. Listen to Audio 2 – Story #2 with Questions as you read the story and answer questions.
  6. Have students practice reading the stories to each other to work on using English. 
  7. Have a student pray in English.
